Founded in 2011 as a result of a collaboration between director Benjamin Bate and actor Robert Eldridge, Workhouse Pictures are an independent film outfit based in London, England. Aiming to create character driven stories with meaningful narratives Workhouse focus on low budget short films and features. The studio currently receives no public funding and is 100% self financed.
In the future, we hope to increase our activities to include documentaries, television entertainment and multimedia projects, but initially our focus remains on developing short films in a digital format. Our company culture and independent thinking allows us to work in an autonomous and creative environment, allowing opportunities for innovative ideas and alternative methods of creation to take place.
News: We are currently heavily investing into our studio so that over a two-year period we can upgrade our cameras, sound and postproduction equipment. With the first stage of this investment already underway we soon hope to provide a stronger and more stable platform for our writers, directors and videographers.
